Reviews
I've been here with a class of 26 children and all of them were entertained in an educational way.
It was a very impressive experience and I have learned a lot concerning the second world war. Very humbling to hear people tell about children having to steal coal to keep their families warm, or how people were hiding others in plain sight to save them from the Germans (app. 1945).
There is a lot to be learned here, about basic human rights, for example. We should never stop strive for equal rights, to treat one another better and use words, instead of weapons.
Very interesting, great variety, patient, friendly helpful staff
Surprisingly interesting, and nicely laid out. (The bicycle example was interesting).
What an impression this small but very informative museum has given us about life in this region during the Second World War.
Everything is well taken care of, lots of information and lots to see. Even an audio tour is available.
Everything made a deep impression on us.
Nice people who received us and explained everything.
The museum is housed in an original preserved building where everything that was experienced and done there is made clear with photos and objects.
Highly recommended to see and experience all this.
There is now also a temporary exhibition with comparisons of the Second World War and the Ukrainian war of today.
Very moving.
Worth going there.
Beautifully impressive museum. Nicely set up with many special stories of ordinary people in WWII. But also a beautiful photo exhibition with photos from the war in Ukraine; a special link to the impact of war from then to now.
Beautiful small museum with fascinating stories that are shared in writing, audio and video. You can walk around freely and absorb all the impressions and, if you like, combine it with an escape room. You can get through it pretty well in an hour to 1.5 hours.
Interesting, small-scale and atmospheric museum about the Second World War with the theme of hiding, resistance, occupation and lifestyle in this period. The museum is decorated like a house from this period and as you walk you explore different topics about the war in each room. The rooms are equipped with furniture and attributes from that time and provide a beautiful image and atmosphere of ordinary life at that time. The nice thing is that you can touch and feel the items, which increases the experience and gives the feeling of time travel. The hiding area can be entered via a secret door, which makes it extra exciting. You can tour the museum in just under an hour. Small shop, toilet available. No restaurant, but coffee available. Parking in the area is free with a parking card for a maximum of 1.5 hours, just outside the center free for an unlimited period of time. Restaurants and shops can be found in the area.
Very interesting and informative museum.
Also in combination with the temporary exhibition "never again...".
The barn and the house are also recommended.
